Furniture chosen the way we would choose it for our own homes.
Why we started
VastuVeda Arts grew out of a simple frustration: it was too hard to buy well-made, honestly-priced furniture in Nepal without either importing it or settling for something that fell apart in two years.
How we choose
Every piece is reviewed by our design team for three things — the quality of the material, the integrity of the joinery, and whether it actually suits how Nepali homes are lived in. If it fails any of the three, it does not join the collection.
Working with makers
We buy in small runs from workshops and artisans, many of them here in the Valley. That means limited quantities and some natural variation between pieces — which we consider a feature.
Design, not just retail
Our roots are in architecture and Vastu consulting. That background shapes everything: we care as much about how a room works as how it photographs.
